Antonio Conte’s Spurs are still in the driving seat to claim fourth and qualification for the UEFA Champions League, despite the 1-0 home loss to Brighton & Hove Albion.
But Man Utd are now just three points behind, along with Arsenal who slipped to sixth after a third consecutive defeat, going down 1-0 at Southampton.
Arsenal have the advantage of a match in hand on their rivals, but could fall to seventh if West Ham United win at home to Burnley on Sunday.
Ex-Spurs striker Darren Bent believes his former team are still in the box seat as they are capable of repeating the six wins in seven matches they enjoyed before the Brighton defeat.
“They can go on another run,” said Bent. “They are already in fourth spot. It’s in their hands.”
