Want to one day compete for your Premier League club? This weekend’s gamers explain how to be the best

Ahead of the 2021/22 ePremier League Grand Finals in London this weekend, some of the United Kingdom’s best EA SPORTS FIFA 22 players have shared tips on what helped to get them there.

Gamers hoping to follow in their footsteps can take note from the latest episode of Uncut on the Premier League’s YouTube channel, which includes pointers on how you can one day aim to make it to the ePL Finals.

“One thing a lot of people could incorporate into the game is going into custom tactics and setting player instructions and having your players come back in defence,” explains Tottenham Hotspur’s Xbox representative Spencer “HUGE GORILLA” Ealing. “A lot of people I see when I play online, is their defence is quite open!”

The 2019/20 ePL champion, Spurs’ Tom Leese, says holding R1 on PS5 to deploy a “second-man press” can be a great tactic, but for Crystal Palace’s Ethan “EthxnH” Higgins, it can be a lot simpler.

“You’ve just got to keep your head, it doesn’t matter how much the game is getting to you or how much you believe the game is against you,” he added.

The gamers also reveal the most effective FIFA 22 skills to use, how to “sprint boost” and explain when you should and should not do a timed finish.

The Grand Finals will consist of a group stage followed by knockout rounds, with players from both platforms representing their club by competing and playing their matches together.

The finals will be televised live in the UK by Sky Sports Premier League, with action also shown across Premier League channels (YouTube, web, app, Twitter and Facebook) and on EA’s Twitch channel.
