Liverpool star has seven goals in eight matches and is among four players tipped for a breakout Gameweek
The Scout is tipping four low-owned players who could be set for a breakout Gameweek 36 in Fantasy Premier League ahead of Saturday’s 13:30 BST deadline.
Sadio Mane (LIV) £11.7m, 4.0 per cent owned
The Senegalese continued his goalscoring form in midweek, netting Liverpool’s winner against Villarreal to earn them a place in the UEFA Champions League final.
Mane’s strike on Tuesday took his tally to seven goals and an assist in his last eight starts in all competitions ahead of Double Gameweek 36 meetings with Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa.
He is owned by a mere four per cent of FPL managers, yet his numbers compare well with those of his more-popular team-mate Mohamed Salah (£13.3m), who is sitting in 59 per cent of squads.
Both have scored six goals in Fantasy since they returned from the Africa Cup of Nations, with Mane earning two assists to Salah’s four.
Anthony Gordon (EVE) £4.6m, 3.9%
Three double-figure hauls in 21 starts highlight the winger’s potential to offer value against Leicester City and Watford.
Gordon provides a solution for managers playing their Bench Boost chip, while he is also appealing as a transfer in due to Everton’s subsequent Double Gameweek 37.
They are among only three sides to play twice in each of the next two Gameweeks, entertaining Brentford and Crystal Palace next time around.
Phil Foden (MCI) £7.8m, 7.1%
The midfielder’s step-up in output could prove decisive in Manchester City’s bid for the title.
Foden has amassed 19 points in his last two outings, scoring against Brighton & Hove Albion and supplying two assists against Leeds United.
After losing to Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals on Wednesday, Pep Guardiola’s side can now focus on the Premier League, which suggests there will be far less rotation over their final four matches.
At a cost of just £7.8m, Foden offers big value in Double Gameweek 36 as the league leaders face Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Jamie Vardy (LEI) £10.3m, 8.3%
Having returned from injury, the forward is likely to make one start and one appearance off the bench over Leicester’s encounters with Everton and Norwich City.
The latter contest, in particular, could be promising for Vardy, who earned 12 points against the Canaries earlier this season.
Despite making just 20 appearances due to injury, the striker remains his side’s top scorer this season with 10 goals.
Indeed, Vardy has found the net every 146 minutes, second only to the 132.6 minutes of Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.2m) among forwards in Fantasy who have more than three goals.
